After leaving BGS in 1985 I went to Loughborough University to read Geography, graduating from there in 1988. I spent the next 20 years in careers in the Travel Industry, and in Finance, as well as some time out travelling the world.
In 2008 my husband and I bought a derelict barn in Norfolk which we spent the next few years converting into the wonderful home we still live in today.

Attended BGS all the way through to Sixth Form. Currently undertaking a PhD in Cardiovascular Sciences, funded by the British Heart Foundation, at the University of Glasgow.

Three great kids, Krystal 1984, Sonny 1987 and Maria 2004. Happily single with a chihuahua and a cockatiel. Living in Chatham, Kent. Spend far too much time trying to find missing Fathers in my family tree.

Met Martin At Hull University and have two children, 23 and 19. Taught Mod Languages in London for ten years, but we live in Sydney now, and I teach English at Western Sydney Uni.

Currently Assistant Branch Secretary at Southwark UNISON.

Sadly 6 knee surgeries, a bout of meningitis and 2 bouts of glandular fever put paid to my athletics career.

Started out in journalism but drifted into politics.

Still play bass (badly) when the old arthritic fingers allow.

Planning to move to Nashville, Tennessee in the not too distant future.

Currently the founder and chair of the Grove Park Carnival in SE London (SE12).

And still a diehard Hammer.

I was at BGS from 1971-78. Since then I have lived In France. I work as a school laboratory technician.

Live in Trowbridge and teach in a large primary school there. I have two children who keep me laughing, and two cats whose main interest in life appears to be food.

Pupil 1968 -75. PE teacher training St Mary's College 1975-78. PE teacher American Community School 1978 -83. PE Teacher, Head of PE, Director of Vocational Education, Timetabler & Data Manager all at Glenthorne High School 1983 - 2019. Retired August 2019.

Started at BGS in 1MAT in September 1980. Left at Easter 1986 (Lower Sixth) as I needed to earn my own keep! At school I planned on completing my A Levels, doing a B.Ed and going on to teach in primary. Instead I did a crash secretarial course and eventually became a PA before becoming a full time mum of two. My daughter subsequently followed me to BGS (2009 - 2015). I eventually achieved my ambition of working in a primary school - but only in the school office! I still live in Welling and regularly drive or walk past BGS.

1980

I had a 30 year career in BT, formerly Post Office Telecommunications, which took me into senior management. Whilst working there I obtained a BA in History at Birkbeck. After taking early retirement from BT, I obtained at UCL an MA in Slavonic and East European History. I then had a 'post-retirement' job in the Foreign Office. I have been married to Cathy for over fifty years and have a daughter and two grandchildren. We have been fortunate enough to have travelled to seventy countries spanning all seven continents.

Left BGS, Sheffield University, worked for an oil company, qualified as a town planner, local government, consultancy, became an academic, ended up as Professor of Environmental Planning in New Zealand.

Went to work in the City straight after leaving BGS in 1985, moved to Vienna, Austria, in 1999 and have been here ever since.

1978

At BGS 1961-68. Went into banking and ended up as an MD of Morgan Stanley London in charge of FX trading. Retired in 1995 and have been trading at home ever since. Lifelong Charlton fan, and was a director from 1995 until 2010.

Now semi-retired after many years working in the NHS in learning disability services.
